Made completely with Cordura 500 reinforced with Kevlar in key areas and making use of Rukka's RVP Air Protection System, the Armadillo trousers give you CE approved impact protection with abrasion resistance equal to leather. The GoreTex XCR (X-tended Comfort Range - 25% more breathable than standard Goretex) Pro Shell finishes off these trousers to make them fully wind/waterproof whilst retaining full breathability. The GoreTex Pro Shell consists of three layers, the thin inner comfort lining, then the GoreTex, then the fabric outer; these are bonded together to make one complete outer skin. This means that no water can be absorbed by the shell of the jacket and so it wont become heavier when wet and most of the water will run off the jacket before it can evaporate. The outer skin of the Armadillo trousers have been treated with TFL Cool Black. TFL Cool is a process by Dow Corning that causes the fabric to reflect heat rays from the sun reducing its temperature by up to 25%.

The armour used is another innovation from Rukka, their Patented RVP Air Protection offers CE approved protection that is 100% breathable and completely flexible. This flexibility means that in the case of an accident the contact patch with the ground can be increased by up to 100 times compared with conventional armour meaning that there is less damaged caused to the outer skin of the trousers and more importantly less damage to you.

On the rear of the trousers Rukka's air cushion system allows the GoreTex to still breath even when sitting down, this patch is coverd with a grippy panel of fabric that stops you sliding about when the seat is wet.

All in all these trousers are very comfortable, adjustments at the waist and ankles allow you to choose your own level of comfort whist the flexible armour moulds it's self to your body.
